Game Review

Game Review

Recently, I've been playing new game.
It's called "Bloxorz." You can play it for free online.

(Goal of this game)
The aim of the game is to get the block to fall into the square hole at the end of each stage. There are 33 stages to complete. Bridges and switches are located in many levels. The switches are activated when they are pressed down by the block. There are many kinds of switches and they all behave differently, so you need to try it on.

This is stage 1.

This is stage 10.
This is stage 22.

(Pros + and Cons -)
(+) This game is very educational, because it is dificult to solve and you have to think a lot.
(+) There is clear instruction, so you can understand  the rule easily.
(+) You can skip straight back to each stage later on by going to "Load Stage" in the main menu and entering the 6 digit level code.
(+) The sound of moving the block and clicking the switches are cool.
(+) You can take turns and play with your friends.

(-) BGM is a little scary.
(-) The design is too simple.
(-) It is better to have the number of the stage on the top corner in order to know which stage you are  playing.

(Rating)

I give this game 9/10.
I would recommend it for those who are interested in puzzules.
This game is easy to play, but some stages are hard to solve. You must be satisfied once you solve all the stages.

Snacks Survey Analysis

Snacks Survey Analysis

My research topic: Snacks
Target: Japanese university students
Number of Respondents: (7)

(Summary) Students answered 9 questions about snacks.

(Questions and Analysis)

#1

I thought there is some students who do not like snacks, but there was not.
Most students answered that they like snacks.

#2

My favorite is chocolate, so I was surprised that most students like potato chips.
I thought more students would answer that they like gummy, because there is so many kinds of gummy selling in convenience stores.

#3

I was surprised that most students answered that they buy snacks at convenience stores. I thought many students would answer grocery stores because it is much cheaper than convenience stores.

#4

Most students eat snacks one or two times a day. I was surprised  that there is one student who eat snack four times in a day.

#5

Many students answered that they could pay ¥101~300 for most snacks. This result was the same with my opinion.

#6

Many students answered that the last time they ate snacks was the day before they answered this survey. One thing I could think of is that many students eat snacks every day.

#7

Everyone answered different time. However, five students answered that the best time to eat snacks is after lunch and before dinner. I was surprised that there was a student who answered 5 o' clock in the morning. I agree with the student who answered 22 o' clock in the night.

#8

Snacks made of potatoes are the most popular. I found that only one student answered snack made of chocolate. I love chocolate, so I was surprised.

#9

Everyone answered yes. I agree with this opinion. Snacks contain unhealthy ingredients and these are bad for children, so parents should limit their children eating snacks.

(Conclusion)
I enjoyed analyzing this survey. I was surprised with almost all the results. I was most surprised with the fact that I was eating more snacks than the average of this survey. This made me realize that I should start eating less snacks.

My Invention

Toast Knife

(Original Problem & Idea / Solution)
Do you have enough time to eat breakfast in the morning? I think most of the people are very busy every morning and have no time to eat breakfast. One reason why people could not eat breakfast is that they do not have time to prepare their breakfast.  It takes a lot of time to prepare your breakfast. Espeacially, people who want to eat bread, they have to toast the bread.

My invention which I've called "Toast Knife" could slice bread and also toast them. This item will surely shorten time to prepare your breakfast.

(Specifics)
・Push the buttom and the machine is powered.
・The thermostat increases 250 degrees at maximum.
・This knife is waterproof, so you could wash it. However, you need to let it cool.
Do not use this on something flammable or glass. Use it on something made of ware.

(Summary)
These days, people tend not to eat breakfast. Some people only drink coffee or tea. However, it is very important to eat breakfast for people. Breakfast provides many benefits to our health and wellbeing. "Toast Knife" would help people to prepare breakfast easily and quickly. This item would make more people to eat breakfast and make them work more effectively.

Mechanical Pencil Smash

(Overview)
The Pentel Smash Q-1005 is one of the most popular pencil in Japan. It started selling in 1986 and has been selling for 30year. This pencil got "Good Design Award" in 1987. This technical drafting pencil with an industrial design features a 5mm fixed sleeve for template work and technical drawings. The price for this mechanical pencil is around 1,000 yen.
(Feature)
・All black body with a square rubber grips.
・With clip and eraser under a unique rubber cap.
・Lead with 0.5mm.
・There's a useful lead grade indicator (2B-4H, inc F).

(Pros and Cons)

(+)Great unique rubber grips. It provides nice cushion while I'm writing.
(+)It has an excellent weight balance, not too heavy or light.
(+)It provides enough space between the lead tip and the grip area which allows us to see our line work for drawing or writing.
(+)Not too thick or thin to grip
(+)The mechanism works smoothly and firmly, it easily advances and has no play when writing.

(-)The price is too high for mechanical pencil.
(-)Black one is so cool, but the new colors should be more fashionable or cute.

(Rating)
I give this mechanical pencil a score of 9 / 10.

I think this mechanical pencil is the almost perfect for me. It has a cool design, and provides us comfortable writing. The most favorite point is the square rubber grips. I never seen this kind of grip before, and it was perfect for me. Although, the price is a bit higher for mechanical pencils, so I gave it minus one point.
